Josh Peters Owner of NE Storm Volleyball

Josh Peters is currently the owner and operator of New England Storm Basketball and the 501c3 Fundamental Hoops organizations.

As a Sports Management Graduate at Endicott College, Josh's passion has always been involvement in sports operations. The product in which you put out is a reflection on you and that is why we strive to always the most competitive teams, a heavy emphasis on skill development, utilizing our resources on bringing in the most qualified and experienced coaches, College Recruitment, and the respect from others as a program that does it the right way and always in the best interest of our Student Athletes.

Our Vision, Drive, and Philosophical beliefs have led our NE Storm Basketball program, which is now the largest program in all of New England with over 100 Teams, and Fundamental Hoops, which organizes the largest leagues and travel tournaments in New England, to where they are today.

Families and Coaches have been asking for years for the Storm program to get involved in Volleyball and we are thrilled to be starting up and soon enough becoming the premier club volleyball program in New England.

Mike Scammon Storm 18's Elite Coach

Experience is an important quality needed for any sporting director, let alone one heading a new program. Fortunately, we can say definitively that this is something Storm Director Mike Scammon has an abundance of.  Mike Scammon is a well-rounded head volleyball coach, having experience in both the girls and boys side for the past decade.

Scammon served as the head girls volleyball coach at Masconomet Regional High School (Topsfield, MA) for five seasons (2019-2023). During his tenure, he compiled a 63-38 (6-4 in playoffs) record and led Masco to a Northeast Conference title in 2022. Scammon coached Masco to the post season each year and helped to lead deep playoff runs in both 2019 and 2022. He also oversaw the addition of a freshman level team to the program, something that previously did not exist at Masco.

Coach Scammon also has experience in the world of club volleyball. Scammon served as a head coach at Avidity Volleyball Club (Danvers, MA) from 2015-2020 and returned for the 2023-2024 season. Scammon learned greatly from his time at Avidity in both how to become a better coach as well as learning the ins and outs of club volleyball. Over his time with the club, he coached teams of all levels and age groups. Additionally, Scammon coached one season of boys club volleyball at Meraki Volleyball Club (Bedford, NH) during the 2022-2023 season.

Scammon presently serves as the head boys volleyball coach at North Andover High School (North Andover, MA), a position he has held since the 2021 spring season. During his first season with the program, Scammon led the Knights to the North Conference Finals. For his efforts during the 2021 season, he was named the Merrimack Valley Conference Coach of the Year. Since that season, North Andover has held a consistent playoff presence, including a strong 2023 season that saw the Knights go 15-5 before losing in the Round of 16. During his tenure as head coach at North Andover, Scammon has coached nearly a dozen Merrimack Valley All-Conference Players, some of whom have gone on to play at the NCAA level with many more playing high-level collegiate club volleyball. Scammon has also had three players since 2021 recognized with All-State honors.
